We are looking for a Seasoned Engineering Manager to join and lead our ZPA Clientless Platform & App Protection teams. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, ZPA Browser Access Privileged Remote Access and App Protection team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 10-16 software engineers
  • Driving the vision and roadmap for the ZPA Clientless Platform & App Protection, aligning with organizational goals and best practices
  • Ensuring the team’s high quality outputs, delivering reliable microservices, highly distributed solutions, and system reliability
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize security to ensure high availability for critical systems
  • Managing performance and personal career progression plan for all direct reports

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 9+ years as an engineering leader, including 3+ years managing global engineering teams with experience across entire SDLC
  • 10+ years of hands-on development experience with relevant experience developing networking and systems software products and solutions in TCP/IP, SSL, HTTPS
  • Strong knowledge of distributed software product architectures, cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and monitoring solutions
  • Skilled in translating technical goals into results through collaboration with product managers and engineering leaders
  • Successful track record leading teams to deliver highly distributed solutions using multi-language ecosystems like C, Go, Java and JavaScript

  • Track record of taking ownership and getting high quality results in a predictable fashion
  • Strong advocate for modern practices such as DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Automation based delivery in large engineering organizations
