Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Design to join our Product Management team in a hybrid capacity (2 days per week at our San Jose HQ), reporting to the VP of Product Design.
You will drive the evolution of our design ecosystem, ensuring consistency, scalability, and excellence across all products. By refining core components and patterns to address diverse use cases, you will elevate the design system and empower teams to deliver cohesive, user-centered experiences with maximum efficiency.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Hire, mentor, and coach a high-performing design team, utilizing 1:1s and development plans to drive career growth
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define the long-term roadmap and translate business goals into intuitive user journeys
- Oversee the design system's evolution to ensure cross-platform consistency while maintaining a high bar for technical execution and detail
- Optimize end-to-end design workflows, managing team bandwidth to prioritize high-impact research, discovery, and QA
- Act as the primary technical interface to align engineers on feasibility and present design rationale to executive leadership

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 8+ years in enterprise SaaS Product Design, including 3+ years of formal people management
- Hands-on expertise building and maintaining enterprise-grade design system components and patterns
- A strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX excellence, strategic thinking, and successful product launches
- Expert-level skills in Figma and FigJam, alongside project management tools like Jira or Asana.
- Bachelor’s in Design or HCI with exceptional communication, storytelling, and conflict-resolution abilities
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with developers on implementing pixel-perfect, scalable components in frameworks like React or Angular
- Experience solving complex design challenges by developing solutions that align user needs with technical and business objectives
- Prior experience designing products within the cybersecurity industry

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$161,000 - $230,000 USD
