Role

We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering team on a hybrid basis in Bangalore, reporting to the Director, Software Engineering. 

You will contribute as a development engineer within our Engineering team, helping to build and enhance the world’s largest cloud security platform. You will bring your vision and passion to a team of experts enabling organizations worldwide to harness speed and agility through a cloud-first strategy.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Develop high-quality software that is performant, scalable, reusable, extensible, secure, supportable, reliable APIs
  • Write microservices, develop and extend in-house APIs, write client-side code which interacts with other APIs (RESTful and SDKs)
  • Work with front-end engineers to understand user requirements and provide endpoints that help accomplish building appealing interfaces
  • Exhibit DevOps mindset - Work on continuous integration, including provisioning, deployment, testing, and version control of the software
  • Participate in strategic contributions like system design, and guiding long-term architecture

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), with a focus on building scalable enterprise applications
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework with a strong understanding of Cloud Native principles
  • Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Docker and Kubernetes within public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead technical decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment with minimal supervision
  • Expertise in building distributed, cloud-native applications using Dapr and Kubernetes, with a specific focus on resilience, scalability, and observability

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Hands-on experience with reactive frameworks such as Quarkus (Mutiny) or Spring WebFlux to build non-blocking, highly responsive applications
  • Proficiency in or willingness to switch between programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) based on architectural needs
  • Practical experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitLab CI
