Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Director, Global Order-to-Cash to join our Finance team. This is a Santa Clara, CA hybrid role or U.S.-based remote role, reporting to the VP, Revenue Accounting. You will serve as the global process owner for the complete order-to-cash chain from executable customer order through billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash application, credit, collections, disputes, credits and rebills, and cash realization.

This is a strategic process leadership role, not a transactional billing, AR, or collections role. You will be accountable for the global OTC process architecture, control framework, KPI model, transformation agenda, India OTC COE outcomes, and end-to-end operational performance. You will ensure Zscaler operates with one integrated OTC process, one KPI architecture, one transformation roadmap, and one accountable global leader across the customer-facing cash chain.

What You’ll Do — Role Expectations

  • Serve as the global process owner for the end-to-end OTC chain, including order management, billing readiness, billing, invoicing, usage/consumption billing, credits and rebills, AR, cash application, credit, collections, disputes, and cash realization.
  • Own the global OTC process architecture, operating boundaries, controls, data requirements, KPI framework, transformation roadmap, and performance outcomes across billing accuracy, receivables integrity, DSO, AR aging, cash application, collections, and disputes.
  • Provide global leadership to the India OTC COE in partnership with the Director, Order Management & Billing and Director, AR, Credit & Collections, including delegated authority, operating expectations, KPIs, escalation thresholds, evidence standards, and outcome ownership.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, Provisioning, Product, Pricing, Technical Revenue, Revenue Accounting, Treasury, Controllership, Business Transformation, and IT to improve upstream order quality and prevent downstream billing, AR, and collection issues.
  • Lead the OTC transformation agenda, including automation opportunities across order validation, billing readiness, invoicing, credits/rebills, cash application, collections prioritization, dispute routing, exception queues, AR analytics, and human-touch reduction.

Who You Are — Success Profile

  • You are customer-obsessed. You build deep empathy for the customer—both internal and external—and anchor your decisions in solving their real-world problems. You champion their needs from start to finish, knowing their success is our success.
  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. You adapt to what’s needed, navigating seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You seek out challenges because you are energized by finding solutions, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You operate with urgency. You understand that in a high-growth environment, speed and quality are not mutually exclusive. You have a relentless focus on execution and a bias for action, delivering high-impact results quickly to win for the customer and the team.
  • You think at scale. You connect your day-to-day work to the larger company mission and think globally. You build solutions, processes, and teams that are not just effective today but are built to last and support a high-growth, global organization.

What We’re Looking For — Minimum Qualifications

  • AI Fluency: Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in order-to-cash, quote-to-cash, revenue operations, billing, AR, credit, collections, finance operations, controllership, finance transformation, or a related field.
  • Experience leading large-scale global OTC, billing, AR, collections, or finance operations in a public company or high-growth enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end quote-to-cash and order-to-cash processes, including order management, billing, invoicing, AR, cash application, credit, collections, disputes, write-offs, and cash realization.
  • Demonstrated ability to own process architecture, controls, KPIs, transformation roadmap, global operating performance, cross-functional governance, and distributed COE operating models.

What Will Make You Stand Out — Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied AI & Automation: Experience leveraging generative AI tools, LLMs, intelligent automation, or advanced predictive analytics to optimize workflow documentation, streamline process mapping, automate exception handling, and scale operational efficiency.
  • Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, software, technology, subscription, usage-based, or consumption-based business models.
  • Experience with CPQ, CLM, ERP, billing platforms, cash application tools, collections platforms, workflow tools, and finance transformation programs.
  • Public company experience with SOX controls and audit-ready operational processes.
  • Experience scaling OTC operations in a global, high-growth technology company through process standardization, automation, shared services or COE design, KPI-based operating reviews, and benefits realization.
  • Demonstrated success improving billing accuracy, reducing credits/rebills, reducing dispute aging, improving DSO, increasing cash application automation, and reducing human touches per transaction.
