Senior Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications

United States

Zura is a clinical‑stage biotechnology company advancing clinical development of novel therapeutic candidates for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases with significant unmet medical need. Our work is focused on understanding immune‑mediated disease and translating that science into carefully designed clinical programs, with patients and their challenges guiding our approach.

Zura is building and advancing a growing portfolio of clinical programs informed by strong scientific expertise and disciplined execution. Across the organization, teams work closely together to progress development thoughtfully, with a shared emphasis on data quality, rigor, and integrity.

At Zura, we operate as One Zura. This means collaborating across functions, valuing diverse perspectives, and taking shared ownership of our work—from problem‑solving to execution. Joining Zura means contributing to patient‑focused clinical development in a hands‑on environment where individual effort matters, collaboration is expected, and people are encouraged to grow while working toward a common goal.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications will lead Zura’s strategy and day-to-day execution for engaging the investment community, media, and other external stakeholders as the Company advances its clinical pipeline. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this person will serve as the primary point of contact for investors, sell-side analysts, and the financial press, building durable credibility and trust while ensuring the market has an accurate understanding of Zura’s science, strategy, and value drivers. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: the successful candidate will operate as both strategist and doer, equally comfortable advising the executive team and Board on IR strategy and personally drafting the press release, building the investor deck, or managing the earnings call logistics. As Zura’s pipeline and public profile grow, this leader will help scale the investor relations and corporate communications function, including the potential to build and manage a team of direct reports over time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Zura’s investor relations strategy, ensuring the investment community has an accurate, compelling understanding of the Company’s vision, science, pipeline, and value-creation drivers
  • Draft, edit, and manage the production of press releases, earnings materials, investor presentations, scripts, and other external-facing content, partnering directly with the executive team, Legal, and Finance
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for current and prospective investors and sell-side analysts, cultivating durable, trust-based relationships with the financial community
  • Own Zura’s corporate communications strategy and execution, including media relations, corporate messaging, the investor relations website, and social/digital channels
  • Plan and manage investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one investor meetings, including logistics, briefing materials, and messaging
  • Partner closely with Finance and Legal to ensure investor-facing disclosures are timely, accurate, and compliant with SEC reporting requirements and Regulation FD
  • Monitor sell-side research, investor sentiment, and peer and competitor activity, translating findings into actionable insight and counsel for senior leadership and the Board
  • Maintain and continuously refine Zura’s investor relations calendar to ensure consistent, well-paced news flow aligned with clinical and corporate milestones
  • Manage relationships with external IR, communications, and public relations agencies and vendors, holding partners accountable to Zura’s standards and timelines
  • Build scalable investor relations and corporate communications processes and infrastructure, with the opportunity to hire and lead a direct-report team as the function grows

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive investor relations and/or corporate communications experience, including meaningful experience at a publicly traded biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as both strategist and doer — equally comfortable advising executives on IR strategy and personally drafting a press release, building an investor deck, or running point on logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, compelling narratives for financial and non-scientific audiences
  • Working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, Regulation FD, and other rules governing communications by publicly traded companies
  • Established relationships with, or a demonstrated track record of building credibility among, institutional investors and sell-side analysts
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who partners effectively with Finance, Legal, Clinical, and executive leadership, and who thrives in a One Zura, shared-ownership culture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in autoimmune, inflammatory disease, or immunology therapeutic areas
  • Prior experience building or scaling an investor relations or corporate communications function, including managing direct reports or agency partners
  • Experience supporting a company through a major catalyst, such as an IPO, de-SPAC transaction, capital raise, pivotal clinical readout, or regulatory milestone
  • Familiarity with investor relations platforms and tools (e.g., Q4, IR Insight) and basic financial modeling concepts

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus, reflecting the value of both education and practical expertise

Our current benefits offerings include:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans
  • Life and Disability Insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Equity Compensation
  • Performance‑Based Bonus Program
  • 401(k) Plan with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Paid Parental Leave
