Zynga’s Data Science and Analytics team uses our unique and expansive data to model and predict user behavior, making our games more personalized and more fun to play! We continually strive to better understand our players, and provide them with experiences that surprise and delight.

Here’s where you would come in: as an Analytics Manager for Zynga Poker, you will join a “Forever Franchise”, a Zynga designation for games that bring in at least $100 million in revenue per year. As the Analytics Team Manager, you will drive business impact by providing technical leadership and creating an environment where innovation, passion, and talent thrive. You’ll focus on supporting a collaborative and positive team culture, empowering each analyst to grow and deliver meaningful contributions that propel our business forward.

You will interact directly with Product leaders to make decisions that increase game engagement, retention, and revenue, seeking ultimately to improve the player experience. You will then work with your team to propose novel solutions, prioritize workflows, and coordinate Analytic solution delivery. The demands on this team are constantly evolving with the needs of Zynga’s dynamic player base, so it is important that you are able to adapt and utilize resources efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with partner teams to define areas of opportunity and set priorities
  • Work with team leadership to plan the roadmap and drive initiatives
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure efficient prioritization
  • Develop talent and steer career growth within the team
  • Supervise the larger technical direction of projects
  • Contribute expertise in product ideation and development
  • Enforce standard methodologies in developing all analytics tools and models
  • Design and evaluate innovative ways to advance analytics at Zynga

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: machine learning, data mining, predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, computational analytics/optimization, data visualization
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Experience building and executing against a roadmap of strategic initiatives
  • 5+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning or analytics roles
  • 1+ years of work experience in people management
  • Proficient in SQL and Python
  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Masters or PhD strongly preferred
