Zynga is seeking a highly motivated Senior Producer (Project Manager) to lead the planning, development, testing, release, and management of live operations within our advertising monetization group.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product management, engineering leadership, other project managers, and game teams to balance commitments and milestones, ensuring predictable project execution. This role facilitates challenging trade-offs and requires a tactical approach to day-to-day execution. The Senior Project Manager should proactively identify areas for improvement and drive vital changes, ensuring that all team members feel supported and aligned in overcoming confusion, miscommunication, and differing expectations.
What You'll Do:
- Tackle direct project management responsibilities for critical engineering projects.
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions that align with business objectives.
- Define project scope, determine the required resources, and develop schedules and milestones in collaboration with engineering leadership and product management.
- Create, plan, and manage team capacity while tracking throughput and velocity. Address any roadblocks that arise.
- Monitor and report progress weekly. Oversee risks and mitigation strategies while proactively working to eliminate blockers.
- Collaborate with discipline partners to execute roadmap items and drive project execution at the team or pod level.
- Identify process pain points and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and other project managers to implement changes that enhance both quality and transparency for external groups.
- Ensure clear project definitions and criteria for completion are established.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards.
- Lead technical scrums and implement agile project management practices.
- Initiate, foster, maintain, and manage positive working relationships with internal and external organizations that are critical to both current and future development processes.
- Communicate goals and team principles to cultivate a stimulating and enjoyable work environment and culture
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years experience working in cross-functional development teams.
- At least 3 years experience as a Project Manager within the tech industry, games or consumer mobile apps preferred
- Ability to motivate, support, and guide the development team to attain successful outcomes and business objectives
- Self-starter with out of the box thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, along with a keen attention to detail
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time
Bonus Points:
- 5+ years experience as a technical project manager
- Experience working in the advertising and/or mobile gaming sectors
- Familiarity with client and server technologies for live games
- Computer science, statistics or technical degree
- Scrum Master or Agile Coach certification
