The Marketing Analytics team has been charged with supporting audience growth functions across our portfolio. We utilize the vast amount of internal and third-party data available to provide reporting, tooling, and automation solutions that elevate the various functions in Zynga’s product organization. Our primary focus is on one core goal: expanding Zynga's ability to reach new audiences.
As a data analyst focusing on the game studios, you will use your data-management skills to capitalize on some of our most ambitious opportunities. Building data pipelines to ingest third-party data sources, constructing interactive applications to funnel this data to partner teams, and providing sophisticated statistical tools and analyses to determine performance of marketing efforts are only a small sample of possible projects for which you could be asked to design and implement solutions. The demands on this team are constantly evolving with the needs of Zynga’s dynamic marketing teams, so it is important that you be able to adapt and utilize your time efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Use our modern tech stack, Redshift, Databricks and PySpark, Airflow, and Tableau to develop innovative tools.
- Work closely with marketing teams to craft, test, verify and implement end-to-end data pipelines that ingest data from multiple sources and output meaningful insights to optimize Zynga audience growth.
- Analyze and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple channels, using data to drive performance improvements and maximize ROI.
- Monitor and analyze app performance metrics to provide statistical insights that support data-driven decision-making for ASO strategies.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Required Skills and Experience:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields; Masters or PhD strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles.
- Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, optimization, data visualization.
- Understanding of marketing metrics and KPIs, with experience in campaign optimization, Lifetime Value (LTV) modeling, and incrementality analysis.
- Domain knowledge in user acquisition, product marketing, and privacy frameworks like ATT; Experience in app store optimization (ASO) is a big plus.
- Strong experience in SQL and Python; Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
