As a Solution Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers’ business needs and our technical capabilities. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting integrations that power mission-critical workflows. Leveraging your expertise in APIs, authentication, and backend-to-backend communication, you’ll help customers translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
This role requires a unique combination of technical proficiency, business understanding, and problem-solving skills. You’ll work closely with customers, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure our integrations not only meet technical specifications but also align with the customer’s business objectives, driving real value and impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead API-based integrations between our platform and customer or partner systems
- Analyze customer business requirements and translate them into technical integration plans
- Work with RESTful APIs and backend-to-backend communication, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange
- Troubleshoot authentication flows, including OAuth2, JWT, and API key–based authentication
- Debug integration issues using browser Developer Tools (network tab), API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia), and backend logs - you should be familiar with tools like Splunk, Datadog, Databricks, Redshift, etc.
- You must be able to read and understand code in common frontend languages such as React, Javascript, Typescript
- You will have to be able to create from simple to medium complexity queries using SQL
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to align solutions with both business and technical needs
- Document integration designs, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures for internal and customer use
- Provide clear technical guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support proofs of concept and demos when technical expertise is required
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a Solution Engineer, Integration Engineer, or similar technical role
- Strong hands-on experience with API integrations (REST) and backend-to-backend communication
- Solid understanding of authentication protocols, including OAuth2 and JWT - a Plus
- Proficiency with debugging and data tools:
- Browser Developer Tools (network analysis, request/response inspection)
- API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia)
- Command-line tools (curl or similar)
- Datadog, Splunk, Databricks, or similar
- SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving integration issues
- Ability to understand business requirements and design technical solutions that deliver measurable business value
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) – a plus
