Position Overview:

A Software Developer works on the product of their specialisation area, which can be game, backend services, analytics or tools for automation. Depending on the specialization area the technologies can include C#, Scala, Typescript, Go, MongoDB or other used technologies and programming languages.

What You'll Do:

• Feature Ownership: Independently develop, test, and maintain new features and content, taking full ownership of your work.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our talented team of game designers, artists, QA specialists and other teams across all stages of development.
• Code Quality Champion: Write clean and efficient code. You will also participate in peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge within the team.
• Live Operations Support: Assist with the identification and resolution of critical, high-impact issues to ensure the stability and reliability of games.

What You Bring:

• Technical Foundation: Proven experience in developing software using languages such as Java or C# whether cultivated through personal hobby projects or professional roles, demonstrating a long-term commitment to the craft.
• Rapid Learner: Possessing a razor-sharp mind and the exceptional ability to quickly master new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Player-Centric Passion: A genuine passion for games and understanding of what makes a player experience enjoyable and compelling.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required to seamlessly integrate into our cross-disciplinary development team.
• Fluent Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English: The ability to clearly and effectively articulate design concepts, documentation, and feedback to a diverse, international team.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with the backend technologies mentioned (Scala, MongoDB, AWS).
• Familiarity with various mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their specific deployment processes.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile games (especially Unity).
• Familiarity with the economics of free-to-play mobile games
• Experience with live game operation and monitoring tools.
• Positive attitude and being excited to learn more
• Game Design Interest: An appreciation for, and interest in, the principles of game design will help you build better features and collaborate effectively with designers.
