Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Gameplay Engineer intern with a strong background in automation testing to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality software and ensuring an exceptional user experience. As a Gameplay Engineer Intern (Automation), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing processes to support our software development lifecycle.

What you will do:

1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects.
3. Design and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
4. Identify, document, and report software defects using issue tracking systems and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
5. Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to ensure effective test coverage and alignment with project goals.
6. Continuously enhance and expand the automated test suite to keep up with evolving software requirements and industry best practices.
7. Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the Engineering team.
8. Perform root cause analysis on defects and work proactively to prevent issues from occurring.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in automation testing and quality assurance.

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
2. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar languages used for test automation.
3. Familiarity with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
4. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and testing techniques.
6. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments will be a plus.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.

10. ISTQB or other relevant certifications a plus.
