Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Gameplay Engineer intern with a strong background in automation testing to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality software and ensuring an exceptional user experience. As a Gameplay Engineer Intern (Automation), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing processes to support our software development lifecycle.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects.
- Design and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
- Identify, document, and report software defects using issue tracking systems and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to ensure effective test coverage and alignment with project goals.
- Continuously enhance and expand the automated test suite to keep up with evolving software requirements and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the Engineering team.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and work proactively to prevent issues from occurring.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in automation testing and quality assurance.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar languages used for test automation.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and testing techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments will be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
10. ISTQB or other relevant certifications a plus.
