Supply Buyer/Planner (Packaging)

THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and highly motivated Supply Planner (Packaging) to manage supply of packaging, packaging components and other raw materials as needed across all AG1 global fulfillment centers and/or manufacturing locations. You will be responsible for the creation and execution of the supply plan to ensure healthy inventory levels are maintained throughout the network. 

This position will ensure that the AG1 inventory maintains healthy days of supply based on the business targets. You will also be responsible for production PO management, Work Order issuance, and for planning inventory movements to ensure that all global regions and key partners have the required inventory to meet our fast-paced global growth.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Place manufacturing purchase orders (POs), assembly work orders (WOs) and transfer orders (TOs) and maintain clear communication through production and delivery
  • Partner with vendors to optimize production schedules and volumes for cost and in order to minimize stock outs, re-work requirements, and write off risk.
  • Own product transition and new item launch plans to optimize success and mitigate stock out, scrap, re-work costs, and other areas of risk.
  • Deliver monthly forecast and weekly supply plan to meet appropriate inventory levels by item and 3PL.
  • Provide regular updates to the Supply Chain team on total inventory status, including days of supply in network and any items at risk of low inventory in the next 180 days on finished goods and components
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure accurate production allocation, and timely deployment to the 3PL network
  • Assist in import/export work to expedite customs processing time and seamless logistics movement across borders 
  • Generate weekly WIP updates and production statuses
  • Partner with finance for monthly COGs analysis
  • Work with procurement/sourcing team to efficiently buy raw material requirements as needed based on finished good demand.
  • Track receipts and transfer orders in Netsuite.
  • Partner to optimize and build out capabilities within Advanced Planning system and adjacent business processes.
  • Support overall Supply Chain KPIs
  • Process POs for indirect spend purchases as needed to support cross functional business requirements.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience (NetSuite User/Background a Plus)
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, particularly with a focus on packaging materials, components, and innovation.
  • Intuitive and highly experienced supply planning for multiple fulfillment centers (International logistics knowledge a Plus)
  • Experience working with Co-mans
  • Finish Goods and Raw Material planning knowledge
  • Excited to be part of a new function in a startup environment and comfortable working in a remote setting.
  • Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability. 
  • You are knowledgeable in all things MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
  • Experience working with an Advanced Supply Chain Planning software solution. (e.g. Blue Yonder, o9, APO, Spherecast) 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills. 
  • You have a no-compromises approach to the quality of your work and are a team player.
  • Experience with consumer products in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer and/or CPG highly preferred.
  • Coming from a Supplements industry or FMCG background would be desirable.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $70,000 - $86,500 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
