We’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our growing team of AI and data professionals. In this pivotal role, you’ll design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures that power our AI-driven solutions. Working at the intersection of enterprise data systems and AI technologies, you’ll help clients unlock the full potential of their data assets.
This is a fully remote role, supported by an Atlanta-based team, and requires occasional travel to client sites based on project needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures that support AI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Develop data models, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks aligned with business and technical objectives.
- Lead client discovery sessions to assess data landscapes, integration points, and transformation needs.
- Define data flows, entity-relationship models, and architecture documentation to guide implementation teams.
- Ensure seamless integration with AI/ML models by designing well-structured data architectures.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
- Advise internal and client teams on complex data architecture challenges.
- Mentor junior data professionals and contribute to the growth of our data practice.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred); or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles, with at least 3 years focused on enterprise-scale systems.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (dimensional, relational, NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Expertise in designing data architectures for AI/ML applications.
- Proficiency with modern data technologies including cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehousing solutions, and ETL/ELT tools.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, mentor teams, and drive enterprise-wide data strategies.
- Hands-on problem solver with a "get it done" mindset—ready to tackle challenges and drive results.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work in a consulting environment with enterprise clients, leveraging a strong sales mindset and consultative approach to identify needs, drive value, and build lasting partnerships.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience designing data architectures for Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, CDMP, or other relevant methodologies.
- Expertise in real-time or streaming data architectures (Kafka, Spark, etc.).
- Familiarity with Kimball Group’s best practices for data modeling and warehousing.
