Why you want this job
We are seeking a very experienced web sales and marketing leader. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success growing e-commerce results on both web and app. We need a leader who knows how to optimize the online shopping experience with a proven ability to increase key metrics: conversion and AOV. Significant opportunity for advancement for the right candidate who can help build organizational strength in this area.
What you’ll do
- Leverage data to optimize: Utilize web analytics and sales data to monitor and optimize traffic, sources, audiences and conversion.
- Continuous experimentation: Use AB testing tools, RTBs, offers and copy that speak directly to customer needs and desires. Clear, concise, and persuasive.
- Product presentation: Manage how products are displayed on the website, including RTBs, language, images, descriptions, and categorization.
- Capture attention: Use engaging visuals and compelling copy to capture attention. Highlight key products and promotions to drive engagement, interest and sales.
- Build sales funnels, not just pages: Map the customer journey(s) and create clear paths that guide users from landing pages to checkout. This includes fast loading times and a mobile first approach.
- User Feedback: Regularly gather and act on user feedback.
- Promotional Activities: Partner with marketing and pricing teams to plan and execute online promotions, discounts, and special offers.
- Personalization: Partner with marketing to infuse personalization and targeting capabilities into the website customer experience.
- Market & customer research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.
What you'll need
- 5-10 years of experience leading cross functional teams in e-commerce and web sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of the eyecare or contact lens industry is a plus.
