The Opportunity

As CFO at 1848 Ventures, you will be the strategic leader responsible for shaping our financial strategy and driving sustainable growth across our venture studio and portfolio companies. Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will build scalable financial systems, define our capital strategy, and enable high-impact investment decisions.

This is more than a traditional CFO role—this is about balancing the agility of a startup environment with the financial rigor of a venture-backed organization. You will lead financial strategy, venture investment frameworks, and operational execution, ensuring our portfolio companies have the financial infrastructure needed to scale. You will also oversee legal and IT functions, ensuring compliance and operational excellence while enabling speed and flexibility.

This role requires a proven financial leader with deep expertise in venture-backed SaaS businesses, venture funding, portfolio economics, and capital strategy. If you thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments and know how to bridge the gap between startup innovation and corporate governance, we want to hear from you.

  • Enhance internal controls, risk management, and compliance while maintaining operational agility.

Finance & Accounting

  • Establish and evolve financial processes to support new ventures and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with SaaS accounting standards (GAAP, ASC 606, etc.).
  • Oversee accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax compliance, capital management, and vendor management.
  • Manage capital allocation and investment strategies across the portfolio.
  • Assess financial risk exposure in contracts and agreements, safeguarding operational integrity.

Oversee Legal & IT Functions

  • Lead the legal strategy for 1848 Ventures and its portfolio companies, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory frameworks.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
