Overview of Role
A client of 66degrees’ is seeking a consultant to engage on a 6 month remote contract with the potential to extend/convert. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
The MFA IAM Contractor will function as a member of the Security Support team and help support Security helpdesk operations. This role will focus on frontline duties and interact with technical and business units.
Responsibilities
- User Authentication Management: Provide direct support for all multi-factor authentication (MFA) issues, including troubleshooting, token resets, and user education.
- Password and Passkey Operations: Handle password resets and assist users with account recovery. Lead the initiative to convert all users to passkey authentication, providing hands-on support and resolving technical issues during the transition
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all security support procedures. This includes creating guides for users and internal knowledge base articles for the IT team. You'll also identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency and security.
- Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users on security best practices, with a specific focus on MFA, passkeys, and secure password management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in discipline appropriate to assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role, with a focus on security-related tasks.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles, including hands-on experience with MFA, password management systems, and passkeys.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex user authentication issues.
- Must have strong self-starter skills and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Must have a basic understanding of information security principles, network protocols, and security technologies.
