Part-Time Community Events Specialist
About Abby Care
Making family care possible. At Abby Care, we are tackling one of the most important and unsolved challenges of our time: family caregiving.
Over 50 million Americans are family caregivers for loved ones without pay, tools, or support. Our mission is clear and ambitious: to train and employ family caregivers so they can get paid for the care they already provide at home.
Abby Care is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to efficiently deliver care, improve health outcomes, and provide the best-in-class experience nationwide.
We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.
The Role
At Abby Care, community is our greatest strength—and we’re looking for a Community Events Specialist to bring that to life. This is a Part-Time opportunity based in Denver, CO, with the possibility to extend to full-time. This role is all about creating meaningful, consistent, and inclusive touchpoints that connect families, reduce isolation, and foster a sense of belonging among our members. From park playdates to moms' nights out, you’ll design and execute events that build community, generate word-of-mouth referrals, and amplify our mission. You’ll be the face of Abby Care in the community—part strategist, part storyteller, and always a connector.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, plan, coordinate, and host a variety of weekly events across Colorado (family-friendly, caregiver-only, informal, and signature experiences).
- Manage logistics for events including location scouting, budgeting, marketing, materials, and refreshments.
- Serve as an on-the-ground representative of Abby Care—sharing our story, building trust, and deepening relationships.
- Track key engagement and conversion metrics to evaluate impact and optimize event strategy.
- Foster and grow a thriving caregiver network by ensuring a sense of community at all events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate events into broader growth, outreach, and retention strategies.
- Stay attuned to caregiver needs, community trends, and local opportunities to increase reach and relevance.
The Requirements
- Must currently reside in the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Health
- 1–3 years of experience coordinating events for groups of 25 or more, with direct involvement in event logistics
- Experience in community engagement, event coordination, outreach initiatives, or grassroots organizing efforts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally for events and participation
- Comfortability to operate independently in a field-based environment
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
This is a Part-Time role with an estimated hourly compensation of $20/hr.
