Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $80,000

Location: Irwindale, CA

Job Shift: Monday - Friday: 9AM - 6PM

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

 

Job Overview

Absolute International Security is seeking a professional Business Development Specialist to provide integral day-to-day support to the Business Development team and assist the Chief Administrative Officer to develop and deliver high-quality proposal documents, while conducting information gathering sessions with relevant BD teams and partners to clarify requirements, client needs, and approach. This role is responsible for external facing business development materials, meetings, and contracts including developing initial client relations, coordinating service transitions, and finalizing service negotiations.The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, has a strong customer service demeanor and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Draft, edit, and finalize external-facing business development materials such as responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), quotes, service offerings, credentials statements, pitch documents, and other relevant documents necessary to acquire new clients.
  • Represent the Company at client walkthroughs, interviews, and negotiations necessary in the business development process.
  • Collaborate with Business Development teams, Operations, Recruiting, and Legal in gathering and compiling relevant information to respond to critical RFPs and quote requests.
  • Analyze RFP/RFI and Q&A documents to elicit service, compliance, and recruiting requirements; instructions; evaluation criteria; and undertake other bid management tasks such as developing bid plans and templates, and liase with internal subject matter experts to produce high quality responsive documents.
  • Work with relevant Business Development teams to maintain and update standard materials such as templates, content, biographies, and experience within the Company's proposal management files and databases.
  • Participate in post-bid debriefings and provide insight to the executive leadership and other departments for solutions and best practices.
  • Ensure best practices are followed in the preparation, maintainence, and distribution of proposal documents.
  • Coordinate with internal business development resources to ensure that business development activies are collaborative and consistent.
  • Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial and proprietary inforamtion that the Company retains.
  • Collaborate with other departments on business development and company goals.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of current security industry service needs, trends, and technologies.
  • Responsible for general success of the business development portfolio and provide reports to executive leadership on the status of potential and new clients.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of business development or sales experience
  • Experience in the security industry or a related field preferred.

Certifications

  • Possess a valid guard card permit or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record necessary to operate Company vehicle.
