Position Description:
he Research Associate supports continuous improvement and positive resolutions for both day-to-day operations and larger initiatives within the LECOM Health system. The Research Associate supports various research projects by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. This role works closely with researchers, clinicians, patients, families, and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and to contribute to the advancement of behavioral health knowledge. This position reports directly to the Chief Quality Compliance Officer.
This position is grant-funded through September 2029. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding and/or a variety of positions within the service line.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with team members for the development and implementation of research initiatives for LECOM Behavioral Health.
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings to support research projects.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the research team and serve as a resource for them.
- Participates in environmental scans, assessments, and surveys to evaluate needs and barriers.
- Collect, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various sources.
- Collect data from study subjects online or in person. This may include review of their medical records.
- Performs data reduction, statistical analysis of data, and interpretation of results.
- Acquires, manipulates, develops, and maintains longitudinal data sets, verifying accuracy and consistency over time, in the context of evolving requirements regarding reporting institutional facts.
- Designs, executes, analyzes, communicates, and consults on the results of ongoing and one-time analytical studies using appropriate inferential statistics.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of data collection methods and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance and ethical standards and regulatory requirements in research.
- Facilitates the employee engagement and satisfaction surveys distribution and data collection process.
- Reports data collection and outcomes to Leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program, or related field.
- One (1) year of experience in clinical research, data collection, management, and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel required, including the ability to analyze large datasets, develop PivotTables, utilize advanced formulas, and generate reports to support program evaluation and performance monitoring
- Experience with data analysis using software such as BI, SPSS
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge to develop dashboards, visualizations, and executive-level summaries
- Knowledge of research and evaluation protocols principles and procedures
- Knowledge of research and evaluation design
- Knowledge of ethics and regulatory procedures (i.e., informed consent, IRB applications)
- Experience with survey design and administration (i.e. SurveyMonkey, JotForm, MS Forms)
- Experience with electronic health record systems
