What You’ll Do
As Director of eCommerce, you’ll own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of ACI Learning’s digital storefront — spanning direct-to-consumer and B2B. You’ll drive online revenue growth by shaping an exceptional buying journey that helps businesses, higher education partners, and individual learners access the IT and cybersecurity training they need to thrive.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver modern, seamless digital experiences. From traffic generation to checkout to post-purchase, you’ll transform our eCommerce ecosystem into a growth engine that fuels learner success and strengthens customer value.
Key areas of ownership:
- Build and execute a holistic eCommerce growth strategy tied to revenue and learner impact.
- Lead enhancements across the online customer journey using A/B testing, personalization, funnel optimization, and cart strategies.
- Partner with Product and Web Development to evolve the platform (BigCommerce) for scalability, performance, and future innovations.
- Optimize digital acquisition channels — paid media, SEO, affiliate, and email — to increase qualified traffic and reduce CAC.
- Oversee merchandising, catalog strategies, and promotions to maximize conversion and lifetime value.
- Define, track, and report on eCommerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, LTV, CAC, ROAS), translating data into actionable insights for leadership.
What You’ll Need (Requirements)
Minimum:
- 7–10 years of hands-on eCommerce leadership experience, ideally within SaaS, EdTech, or subscription-based businesses.
- Success driving online revenue growth across DTC and B2B environments.
- Strong background in eCommerce platforms and analytics tools (BigCommerce, GA4, VWO, SEMRush, CMS, etc.).
- Expertise in digital acquisition: SEO, paid media, affiliate, and lifecycle email.
- Track record of improving UX, conversion funnels, and digital buying journeys.
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and cross-functional influence.
Preferred:
- Experience in digital learning platforms, subscription models, or education content delivery.
- Prior success scaling a digital storefront serving both individuals and enterprise customers.

First 60 Days
- Audit the end-to-end buyer journey and present prioritized opportunities for immediate, mid-term, and long-term improvement.
- Partner with Product Marketing to align pricing, messaging, and packaging to key buyer personas.
- Identify and implement 2–3 high-impact “quick wins” such as cart abandonment recovery, site speed enhancements, or improved CTAs.
- Benchmark performance metrics against competitors and best-in-class SaaS commerce experiences, delivering a gap analysis with clear action steps.
- Define and document success metrics (CAC, CLTV, churn, free-to-paid conversion) in alignment with executive goals.
Longer Term
- Present a 90-day strategic plan that outlines KPIs, initiatives, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Build a 12-month eCommerce growth roadmap with quarterly objectives, resource planning, and alignment to business goals.
- Continuously refine acquisition and conversion strategies to grow revenue and learner impact.
- Scale the eCommerce platform and experience to support long-term company growth and innovation.
At ACI Learning, we offer a competitive, experience-driven salary range that aligns with your qualifications and contributions. To that end, the posted salary range reflects our most reasonable assumption of pay for this position at the time of posting.
Pay range
$141,000 - $171,000 USD
