You’ll coach students on job search strategy, help them build confidence as professionals, and expand the network of employers who hire ACI graduates.This role blends career coaching, employer partnership development, and student advocacy. What You’ll Do Career Coaching & Student Success Provide 1:1 and group career coaching to learners throughout their training with a focus on employment readiness and job placement Develop personalized Career Plans using insights from the Enrollment Readiness Assessment to support each student’s strengths, goals, and potential barriers Conduct pre-graduation check-ins to ensure students are aligned on career goals and prepared for the job search Support students in building strong professional materials including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview readiness Teach students how to effectively use CareerConnect tools, including the resume builder, job board, AI career coach, and networking tracker Monitor student engagement with career resources and conduct proactive outreach when support is needed Employer Partnerships & Talent Placement Build and maintain a pipeline of employer partners hiring IT and cybersecurity talent Partner with Strategic Partnerships to expand employer relationships and job opportunities for graduates Position ACI Learning’s programs as a scalable workforce development solution for employers Support employer engagement through career fairs, industry events, and hiring initiatives aligned with graduation cycles Onboard employers to the CareerConnect platform and encourage its use for posting jobs, sourcing candidates, and sharing interview feedback Events & Industry Engagement Plan and host monthly career events and workshops connecting learners with industry professionals and hiring managers Coordinate virtual and on-site career fairs for graduating cohorts Promote employer participation in career events and strengthen ACI’s presence in the tech hiring community Outcomes, Data & Compliance Track and document graduate employment outcomes in Salesforce and the ACI CareerConnect platform Maintain accurate records aligned with federal, state, VA, accreditation, and company compliance requirements Monitor employment outcomes and support graduates until successful job placement   What Success Looks Like Graduates secure in-field employment quickly, meeting progressive placement benchmarks at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days post-graduation Students complete key career readiness milestones including resume, LinkedIn, and interview preparation Employer engagement grows through new partnerships, job leads, and industry events Graduates and employers become advocates for the program, contributing testimonials, reviews, and feedback that strengthen ACI’s reputation Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field Substitution: Relevant experience in career services, staffing/recruiting, HR, or workforce development may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. The Commercial Account Executive is a pure hunter role responsible for landing net-new logo customers within an assigned territory. This role owns the entire sales motion—from outbound prospecting through close—and is measured exclusively on new customer revenue.. The ideal candidate thrives in competitive environments, creates pipeline through disciplined outbound execution, and consistently wins first-time deals.What You’ll Do Own the full new-logo sales cycle end to end, including outbound prospecting, discovery, proposal development, and close, without SDR support. Consistently meet or exceed a $500K annual new-business quota, with uncapped commission and clear upside for overperformance. Close the first new-logo deal within the first 60–90 days. Build and maintain 4–5x pipeline coverage through disciplined outbound execution and strategic account targeting. Forecast with greater than 90% accuracy, reviewed weekly and monthly with sales leadership. Conduct high-impact discovery and present tailored solutions using structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Sandler; candidates should be able to articulate their approach. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene in Salesforce, ensuring deal stages, next steps, and notes are accurate and updated weekly. Ensure consistent and effective use of Outreach by maintaining strong sequence hygiene, including accurate enrollment, timely follow-ups, and alignment with GTM cadences. Continuously refine messaging and sales processes based on market feedback, performance data, and coaching input. Proactively seek coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to improve performance and win rates. Objectives & Key Results First Deal: Close an initial new-logo deal within 60–90 days. New Logos: Close 5–8 new logos per month. Quota Attainment: Meet or exceed monthly new-business targets of $45K. Pipeline Generation: Self-generate at least 45% of total pipeline. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of new-logo, outbound B2B sales experience, ideally in a quota-carrying hunter role in SaaS, tech, or services. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar sales tech stack. What We'd Like You To Have Experience selling into corporate and state/local government accounts. Background in EdTech, SaaS, or training/learning solutions. Familiarity with long sales cycles and navigating complex buying processes. Success Will Require Outbound Account Prospecting & Territory Strategy Sales Methodology: Fluency in structured selling approaches like MEDDIC, SPIN, or Sandler. We are seeking a high-performing Academic Account Executive to accelerate adoption of our solutions within higher education institutions, including universities and colleges. In this role, you will work with cybersecurity and IT instructors and department leaders to demonstrate how ACI Learning’s Training and Skill Labs help them deliver the student outcomes they need. You will combine strategic selling with strong education market awareness to navigate complex buying processes and close new business in your territory. OTE is what you can reasonably expect to earn when you hit your goals, combining base salary and commission. For this role, OTE is $130,000 per year, made up of an $80,000 base salary plus variable commission tied to performance. The best part: commissions are truly uncapped. There is no ceiling on what you can make here. If you outperform, you earn more, period. We want high performers to win big, and our plan is built to reward the reps who build pipeline, close deals, and consistently beat quota. What You’ll Do Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline (3x quota coverage within 90 days, 4 to 5x by 180 days). Quickly research prospect accounts, identify target buyers and opportunities, and close them. Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring clean data and timely, reliable sales forecasts. What We’re Looking For (Requirements) 5 to 8+ years of full-cycle sales experience selling SaaS or software solutions to senior technical buyers. Experience closing new customers with an average order value of at least $5K to $20K. Experience with Salesforce, Outreach or SalesLoft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Smart, curious salespeople who ask strong questions, use data to make decisions, and are self-motivated. We Prefer Understanding of cybersecurity and IT technologies and trends, or a demonstrated ability to sell complex software or SaaS technologies. Background in higher education sales, particularly selling to department heads and faculty. Knowledge of academic buying seasonality and processes is especially helpful. Things to Know You will be expected to generate 45 percent of your sales opportunity pipeline. Marketing will deliver the remaining 55 percent. We have a very strong marketing team. You will be provided a carefully selected set of prospect accounts that match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You are expected to investigate these accounts and understand them in depth. We have an organized, ongoing Sales Onboarding and Enablement program to help you learn what you need to succeed quickly. We also have a great RevOps team focused on improving our systems, data, and processes so you can spend more time selling and less time fighting tools. We have differentiated technology used by thousands of customers, and our 2026 product roadmap is amazing. You will have new, compelling products to sell. We use Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach. You are expected to be familiar with these tools when you join. We will help you learn our specific instances, but we are not going to teach people how to use Salesforce from scratch.
