Accounting Business Partner

Job purpose

An Accounting Business Partner (Manager) core responsibility is ensuring the financial well-being of the company. S/he will also be responsible for developing a great team and instilling a positive culture in the office, working directly with regional finance team, analyze and maximize cash flow, and cost analysis for each business, including but not limited to review clients of the company financially, s/he will report directly to the Regional Financial Controller however s/he will also have many interactions with cross-functional team such as Project Manager, Operations team and etc.

Duties and responsibilities

● Analyze the financial statements and key performance indicators/ratios.
General Accounting Management. Lead and coordinate day-to-day accounting and finance processes - Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury and General Accounting.
Periodic Financial Closing. Robust planning of activities to meet reporting deadlines and financial objectives.
Account Reconciliation. Regular review and reconciliation of open items in the Balance Sheet accounts to ensure that all other control ledgers are updated (Cash, Inventory, AR/AP, P&L)
InterCo Reconciliation. Secure alignment of AR/AP entries with inter-companies in the group, to ensure that related party transactions are consolidated and aligned across entities.
Cash Forecasting. Ownership of weekly cash forecasting process that consolidates input from key areas in AR, AP and other cash items. Alignment of cash forecast with Business Plans (BP).
Regulatory, Tax & Audit. Liaise as key respondent with internal/external auditors, banks, and other regulatory or government agencies. Manage and plan for activities to meet yearly audit deadlines and regulatory compliance.
Processes and Internal Control. Establish, develop and maintain finance procedures and ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance to company policies and risk management.
● Proactively identify potential issues in financial process and controls, and raise to management for resolution.
● Continuously support process improvement initiatives such as reporting automation and process standardization as initiated by the Group. This may require internal process documentation, and performing required testing procedures.
● Perform analytical tasks and financial modeling as required.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Philippines Nationality

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

  • At least 6+ years of experience in Accounts/Finance including full sets of accounts

  • 2-4 years of professional accounting experience in Big Four is a plus

  • CPA is a big plus but not mandatory

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of finance, full sets of accountings, budgeting/forecast, tax matters and internal control principles

  • Ability to analyze financial data & prepare financial reports, statements and projections

  • Prior experience in preparing financial forecasts consolidated accounts

  • A good team player who is pro-active, Can-do attitude and able to work under tight schedules and multicultural.

  • Knowledge of NetSuite software application is a plus

  • Highly Professional to work with other Functional and cross-functional Teams

  • Proven integrity and maturity to accept added responsibilities

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
