The Role

We are seeking a Portfolio Data Discovery Analyst to serve as a high-impact data specialist with project management skills within the Addepar Data Feed Network. This is an "early-stage" role where you are the bridge between a client's needs and a functional data integration. You will act as the primary point of contact for a diverse client base, including RIAs, Multi-Family Offices, Single-Family Offices, and Investment Banks, ensuring their unique data needs are met by our providers.

The core mission of this role is to qualify new data transmissions and deliver them to our build teams in a "ready-to-build" status. You aren't just a coordinator; you are the quality gatekeeper. You will navigate provider technical limitations and drive engagement to ensure we receive the specific data points, such as additional columns or files, necessary to build robust transformation logic.

Growth, Impact, and Success:

  • Scale the Network: You will directly fuel company growth by autonomously onboarding integrations that serve as the backbone for our reporting functionality.
  • High-Velocity Execution: Success in this role means managing 6–8 discovery projects concurrently.
  • Predictable Delivery: Our benchmark for excellence is completing 80% of discovery projects within a three-month window.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York. The current range for this role is $103,000.00 - $161,000.00 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.

What you'll do

  • Lead Complex Data Projects: Gather and document client requirements, define workstream objectives, and manage expectations across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure "Build-Readiness": Acquire data sets with sufficient data points so that the build team can execute transformation logic with minimal provider re-engagement.
  • Navigate Technical Roadblocks: Identify and solve for provider technical limitations or lack of engagement to keep projects moving forward.
  • Technical Validation: Use our modern stack to validate file contents and ensure data integrity before handoff.
  • Smooth Handoffs: Transition projects to the product build team for execution once discovery is complete, remaining a subject matter expert for the team as they move into production.
  • Process Innovation: Continually refine workflows and tools to automate and streamline the "Discovery to Build" lifecycle.
  • Compliance Coordination: Act as a liaison with information security or compliance teams to address specific data connectivity or encryption requirements.

Who we are

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data analysis and project management. You are an analyst first, deeply comfortable with technical data development concepts and modeling, but your ability to organize and push projects forward is what truly sets you apart.
  • Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of marketable securities (Stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, ETFs) and their lifecycle. Familiarity with alternative assets (Private equity, hedge funds) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Toolkit:
    • Data Analysis: Ability to query data using SQL, Python, or R within Databricks to validate file contents.
    • Project Management: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
    • Data Structures: Familiarity with diverse file formats (XML, JSON, Delimited, Fixed Width, etc.) and transmission methods (SFTP, API, AWS-managed systems).
  • Solution-Oriented: You have a passion for problem-solving and a "driver" mentality to move projects past common vendor-related friction points.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate requirements between a variety of stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can context-switch effectively between multiple simultaneous projects.

PHISHING SCAM WARNING: Addepar is among several companies recently made aware of a phishing scam involving con artists posing as hiring managers recruiting via email, text and social media. The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to ta-operations@addepar.com.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
