We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Plasma Technician at Horsepower Automotive Group! If you're someone who thrives on precision and organization, has at least 2 years of relevant experience, excels in communication, and can navigate operational procedures in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Knowledge of Plasma is essential, and tube bending experience is a fantastic bonus!

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Reading work instructions and blueprints with enthusiasm.
  • Operating Tube Plasma and Tube Bending equipment as directed.
  • Utilizing bandsaws, chop saws, and basic hand tools effectively.
  • Inspecting materials in line with our high company quality standards.
  • Using basic hand tools and various measuring and testing equipment.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrating basic computer skills.
  • Inputting data into our Portal with accuracy.
  • Complying with safety regulations and keeping work areas clean and organized.
  • Taking on other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed, including prototyping.

What We Expect From You:

  • Proven Plasma experience is a must!
  • Reliability is key.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Plasma operator.
  • Tube Bending experience is a plus!
  • Familiarity with Tube Plasma Dragon A400 by BendTech.
  • Experience with BendTech Software.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a results-driven mindset.
  • Being responsible and trustworthy.
  • Comfort with measuring devices like Dial Indicators, Calipers, Angle Finders, and Tape Measures.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards.
  • Understanding of Plasma machine functions and axes.
  • Providing necessary counts, accurately processing documentation, and maintaining daily production logs or worksheets.
  • A High School Degree, with further qualifications being a plus!
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • The ability to engage with a diverse range of people and work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience setting up the BendTech Dragon A400, making adjustments to cutting parameters, maintaining the machine, and changing basic wear parts like cutting tips.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve various problems related to the setup and operation of the Ercolina TB100 Tube Bender.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, programs, and other documentation to visualize the machining required and the sequence of operations.
  • Making input and bend adjustments to ensure consistent setup procedures, performing dry runs to verify setups prior to production runs, and recognizing and reporting errors to management.

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Hourly Rate: $20/hr+  DOE
