We are seeking a Software Engineer II who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable software. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced engineers to design and implement APIs and distributed systems that handle high volumes of data at low latency. You’ll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle—from understanding requirements to coding, testing, deploying, and supporting production systems. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is eager to take ownership of their work, and is looking to further develop their technical skills. You'll have clear opportunities for career progression and the chance to grow into a technical leadership or advanced individual contributor role.
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable APIs and services that support our ad technology platform.
- Implement robust, efficient, and maintainable code for high-performance distributed systems.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product managers and engineers—to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile ceremonies to continuously improve quality and velocity.
- Proactively monitor and maintain systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Work across multiple systems and adapt quickly to changing priorities, demonstrating agility in both technical problem-solving and collaboration.
- Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance system capabilities and your own growth.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience developing with Java (Java 17+ preferred), including Spring Boot or similar DI frameworks.
- Strong grasp of REST API design, relational database modeling, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain distributed systems that handle large data volumes with high scalability.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines within microservices architectures.
- Good understanding of design patterns and best practices with a record of delivering efficient, scalable solutions.
- Self-starter with strong project ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to transparency and teamwork.
- Python experience is a big plus.
- React experience is a big plus.
- Databricks experience is a big plus.
- Knowledge with GraphQL is a big plus.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Agile software development experience.
- Prior experience in the ad tech or e-commerce industry.
*Compensation Range: $120,000-$160,000 + Bonus and Equity

Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
