ESG Reporting Specialist

We're looking for an experienced ESG Reporting specialist to join the Amsterdam based Reporting team. Within our Financial & ESG reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of current and upcoming European and international ESG reporting standards, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, Pillar III, and CSDDD.

You will be leading cross-functional projects working closely with the Group Finance team, as well as Enterprise Risk, Sustainability, Investor Relations, Supply chain, HR, Internal Audit teams, and many others.

This role is an opportunity to drive Adyen’s sustainability and ESG reporting efforts, directly contributing to our mission of creating a more sustainable and responsible business.

Although ESG reporting will be your key focus, as a member of the wider Reporting team, you will also work closely with the team across broader (financial) reporting topics as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Jointly lead the preparation and publication of Adyen’s Annual Report and any other external publications, ensuring alignment with CSRD and where needed with other local and international frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.) with strong focus on integrating financial and non-financial reporting.
  • Preparation and submission of any regulatory reporting requirements focused on ESG including EU Taxonomy, Pillar III disclosures, and other local ESG related reporting requirements for Adyen.
  • Identify, interpret, and implement current and upcoming ESG regulations both locally and globally across Adyen’s regions and work closely with the Financial controlling and Internal control team to design, establish, implement and document key reporting processes and controls.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and address ESG reporting needs, fostering relationships with regulators, investors, and key partners across Adyen’s value chain.
  • Closely monitor Adyen’s (ever-evolving) product offering and the impact this might have on ESG reporting requirements with a strategic focus on aligning these insights with our evolving ESG strategy and objectives.
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of Adyen's ESG strategy, working closely with Adyen’s leadership team to set and achieve sustainability goals.

Who you are

  • You have between 3-6 years of work experience with a multinational organization or a Big 4/consultancy business. Previous experience in ESG reporting is a must with an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification being a strong plus.
  • You are versed in ESG reporting processes and have experience working with international ESG standards such as CSRD, ISSB or GRI. Prior experience with EU Taxonomy, Pillar 3 reporting and GHG accounting is a strong plus.
  • Possess the ability and confidence to work well with a broad range of teams across the firm, influencing and getting buy-in to support integrated reporting processes.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, particularly in relation to process improvement/automation.
  • The ability to analyze complex topics on a granular level, but also to assess the big picture, and the potential impact on Adyen’s wider sustainability and business strategy.
  • You have experience delivering reporting requirements in a dynamic, international environment.
  • You’re comfortable working in unstructured environments and take initiative in managing tasks. Navigating ambiguity comes naturally, and you bring a thoughtful approach to shaping processes where clarity is needed. You have a strong sense of responsibility, helping you move projects forward independently and make a meaningful impact.
