Senior Product Manager - Accounting

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Accounting group at Adyen. This group is responsible for building and maintaining the accounting software that powers Adyen’s payments and banking operations. The team ensures the accurate tracking of money movement, maintains reconciliation integrity, and provides the financial foundation for Adyen’s global transactions.

In this role, you will lead the development of scalable, resilient, and high-performance accounting systems that support billions in transaction volume. You will work closely with Engineering, Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams to improve journal processing, reconciliation workflows, and financial observability.

This is a high-impact role with long-term strategic implications, as the Accounting group is undergoing a structural evolution to better serve Adyen’s growing financial operations. The ideal candidate is data-driven, execution-focused, and comfortable leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive the evolution of Adyen’s accounting software, ensuring it meets the needs of payments, banking, and financial reconciliation.
  • Define and prioritize initiatives that improve journal processing, batch optimization, and ledger scalability.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams to ensure accurate financial data management and compliance.
  • Lead efforts to improve real-time fund monitoring, anomaly detection, and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Work with engineers to build robust APIs for journal booking, reporting, and reconciliation workflows to eliminate direct database dependencies.
  • Drive a data governance strategy, ensuring high data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across accounting workstreams.
  • Influence the long-term scalability and infrastructure strategy to handle increasing transaction volumes efficiently.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in fintech, enterprise financial software, or accounting systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reconciliation processes.
  • Experience working with high-scale financial data systems and collaborating with Finance, Treasury, or Risk teams.
  • Technical fluency – comfortable working with Engineering to build APIs, optimize batch processing, and scale financial infrastructure.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills – ability to analyze complex financial data and translate insights into product improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to articulate complex financial and technical concepts clearly.

Ideal experience

  • Experience with ledger systems, financial observability tools, and data governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of OLTP/OLAP architectures, batch processing, and real-time reconciliation workflows.
  • Prior experience in building internal financial tooling or working with regulatory financial data.
  • CPA or CFA certification or experience in financial reporting, though not required.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
