Infrastructure (Cloud) Engineer
Our Infrastructure (cloud) engineering team is building the bedrock for our enterprise cloud journey. We are responsible for setting up, securing, and operating cloud platforms that act as seamless extensions of our existing on-premises datacenters. We’re looking for experienced Infrastructure (Cloud) Engineers to join us in laying down the essential elements—networking, security, observability, automation, and governance—that make cloud environments reliable, cost-efficient, and production-ready.
If you’re passionate about building secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud environments from the ground up—and enjoy enabling others to run confidently in the cloud—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Build the Foundation: Design and implement complete setups of AWS, Azure, and GCP environments—including account structure, landing zones, VPCs, IAM, security baselines, and more.
- Networking & Connectivity: Establish robust, secure hybrid connectivity between cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure (VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, etc.).
- Security & Governance: Implement cloud security controls, guardrails, and policy enforcement to align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Observability: Introduce logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing using cloud-native and third-party observability tools to give visibility into the health and performance of cloud services.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation for account provisioning, identity and access management, and other common cloud operations tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Cost Optimization: Implement cost controls, tagging strategies, and reporting mechanisms to manage cloud spend and drive cost awareness.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as a point of escalation for cloud-related issues, helping other teams troubleshoot, resolve, and learn from incidents.
- Collaborate & Upskill: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, share your knowledge, and contribute to growing a high-performing engineering organization.
- Ensure Platform Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the cloud infrastructure to guarantee the high availability and performance our customers depend on. You will also participate in a blameless on-call rotation.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Strong background in Linux system administration in cloud environments.
- 5+ years of recent and relevant hands-on cloud engineering experience managing AWS, Azure, or GCP (bonus for multi-cloud exposure).
- Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and concepts
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including routing, firewalls, peering, and hybrid connectivity patterns.
- Solid foundation in cloud security principles, IAM, and governance practices.
- Proven experience deploying and managing observability stacks (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Operations, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Experience in cloud cost management, tagging strategies, and reporting tools.
- Ability to automate operational tasks using code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills—able to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with cloud-native identity & access management frameworks (e.g., Azure AD, AWS IAM, GCP IAM).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices in an operational context..
- Prior involvement in setting up or maintaining landing zones using tools like AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones, or GCP Organization Structure.
- Experience with guardrail frameworks like SCPs (AWS), Azure Policy, or GCP Organization Policy.
Who You Are
- A builder who enjoys creating reliable, secure infrastructure from scratch.
- A team player who thrives on collaboration and wants to mentor others.
- A problem-solver who takes initiative, owns problems, and sees them through.
- A lifelong learner who keeps up with the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
