What You’ll Do
Build and execute a business development strategy to drive new revenue growth
Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities through proactive outreach and consultative selling
Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution development, pricing, proposal creation, negotiation, and close
Lead executive-level meetings and build long-term relationships with key decision makers
Partner with internal operations and solutions teams to develop customized transportation solutions aligned to customer needs
Maintain accurate CRM data and provide pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance insights
Ensure customer expectations are aligned with operations to support successful onboarding and long-term service delivery
Consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue targets
What We’re Looking For
Required
3+ years of business development experience in freight brokerage/logistics
Proven ability to close new business and grow strategic accounts
Strong consultative sales skills with executive presence and confidence in discovery
Strong pipeline management and organizational skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
Preferred
Experience selling into mid-market to enterprise accounts
Ability to leverage an existing network of shipper relationships (a plus — not required)
Experience collaborating with operations teams to ensure strong service execution and retention

Mission
Build and lead AFC’s marketing function to drive qualified pipeline and revenue across trucking, brokerage, and leasing. This is an industry-first role; we are looking for someone who has marketed into or within trucking and freight and can translate operational realities into messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement that closes deals.
What You’ll Own
Sales Support
Equip sales with tools, messaging, and materials to close more deals
Build core enablement assets (pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, email sequences)
Pipeline Growth
Generate qualified leads and sales-ready opportunities (not vanity metrics)
Build campaigns that convert; measure, learn, and improve continuously
Social and Content
Build authority for AFC on LinkedIn and key industry channels
Create content that supports sales conversations and positions AFC as a trusted logistics partner
RevOps Alignment (HubSpot)
Align marketing with sales using CRM workflows in HubSpot
Own lead lifecycle definitions, attribution, funnel reporting, and handoff SLAs
Brand
Establish AFC as a leader in logistics through consistent positioning, messaging, and market presence
What Success Looks Like
