Senior Reporting Analyst

Position Summary:
As a Senior Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role in creating, refining, and delivering standardized reports for both internal and external stakeholders, primarily focusing on pharmacy-related clinical, operational, and financial metrics. Your responsibilities span data analysis, report production, stakeholder consultation, and process improvement. You'll engage in detailed tasks like coding, quality checks, and documentation, while also contributing strategically to enhance existing products, efficiency, and scalability. You will mentor analysts and create, enhance, and own data best practices and provide education and training of data products and practices throughout the organization.
What you will do:
1. Standardized Reporting:
- Generate and enhance standardized reports, both internal (KPIs) and external (Client Reports – monthly, quarterly, annual), leveraging diverse data sources and visualization tools. Production of reports includes pulling data, creating visuals, performing quality checks, and collaborating to generate meaningful analysis and insights
- Continuously improve reports by integrating additional metrics and insights related to clinical outcomes and patient engagement
- Own portions of documentation for reporting and analytics packages and ensure that it’s continually updated and accurate
2. Regulatory Reporting:
- Produce (gather and validate) data files required for regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with gathering qualitative and supplemental information for regulatory submissions to relevant governing bodies
3. Ad-Hoc Analyses and Reporting Requests:
- Respond to customer-specific ad-hoc analyses and reporting requests, providing timely and accurate insights, validate the work of others and develop processes that streamline peer reviews and ensure quality deliverables
- Assist in the development of streamlined processes for intaking and fulfilling requests
4. Stakeholder Consultation:
- Represent reporting team in consulting with internal and external stakeholders on report and analysis results, offering expertise and guidance
- Provide education and training to operational, clinical and internal stakeholders on tools and reporting packages and maintain documentation related to reporting products
5. Business Requirements and Data Structure Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain business requirement documentation aligned with organizational needs
- Understand data sources, collaborate on documentation and structure to enhance data-related processes, warehousing, and workflows as technology is developed
- Assist with cross-functional development of polices and procedures around data practices in the organization and serve as a content owner for a portion of reporting and analytics policies and procedures
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare reporting and analytics (pharmacy or PBM knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Excel (including VBA), and BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau
- Ability to think critically, create solutions to meet business needs and interact with data to drive meaningful insights and create business value; ability to create and own best practices with data and develop robust documentation
- Client-facing experience preferred with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%)
