Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Proposals is a senior-level professional responsible for leading and overseeing the development and submission of proposals in response to RFPs from clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, ideally within the PBM industry, regulatory requirements, and a strategic approach to securing new business opportunities.  In addition to leading the proposals and contracts function, this role will require writing and editing RFP’s as AffirmedRx grows and scales.

What you will do:

1. Strategy Development:

  • Formulate and implement strategic approaches to responding to healthcare-related RFPs, aligning proposals with the organization's healthcare service offerings

2. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of RFP professionals ensuring cohesive collaboration and timely delivery of high-quality proposals

3. Document Management:

  • Document processes critical to successful RFP responses
  • Manage the RFP content database (Ombud) and ensure content is being consistently reviewed and updated
  • Manage the creation and ongoing updates of ancillary proposal documentation including (but not limited to): FAQ documents, technical certifications, business cases, and proposal templates

4. Sales Support and Collaboration:

  • Support the sales team in any content needs, including (but not limited to): Communications, copy editing, proofreading, copywriting, branding updates, new product documentation etc.
  • Participate in regular Sales Operations and Business Development initiatives, including (but not limited to): Regular sales training and onboarding, Technical/Legal assessments, National Sales Meeting event planning, and planning/execution of the Weekly Sales Meeting
  • Write and develop high-quality proposal responses to ensure alignment with client needs and organizational goals

5. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all proposals adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and industry specific requirements

6. Communication:

  • Communicate RFP strategies, decisions, and updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence

7. Market Intelligence:

  • Stay informed about PBM industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making in proposal development

 What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or healthcare administration
  • 10+ years’ experience leading RFP function, preferably working within the PBM industry
  • Experience in CRM principles, practices, and applications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and legal, including stakeholders
  • Exceptional technical skills with the Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, and SharePoint
