Position Summary
 
The Manager, Events & Trade Shows is responsible for planning, managing, and executing high-impact corporate events and trade shows that support brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue generation. This role oversees the full lifecycle of events—from strategy and planning through execution and post-event analysis—while ensuring alignment with company objectives and delivering measurable business outcomes.

By delivering high-quality experiences at trade shows and corporate events, this position directly contributes to lead generation, customer retention, and overall marketing effectiveness. The Manager ensures events reflect Agilysys’ brand, support go-to-market priorities, and provide a strong return on investment.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Plan and execute approximately 20 trade shows annually, along with 5 major corporate events (e.g., Sales Kickoff, President’s Club, User Conference).
  • Develop event strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, messaging, and go-to-market priorities.
  • Manage event budgets end-to-end, including forecasting, tracking spend, identifying cost efficiencies, and communicating financial risks.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated event marketing plans, including pre-event promotion, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-up (email, web, social, and collateral).
  • Oversee all on-site logistics, including booth execution, demos, meeting spaces, and ancillary events such as receptions and networking events.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, exhibit partners, and venues, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with company standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to maximize event impact and ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct post-event analysis, including budget reconciliation, performance evaluation, and recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing trade shows and large-scale corporate events.
  • Experience managing event budgets ranging from $5K to $500K.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management and contract negotiation.
  • Experience in hospitality technology or SaaS environments preferred.
  • Experience managing vendor, venue, and third-party relationships.
  • Experience with customer-facing events (e.g., user conferences) preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
