Underwriting Analyst Intern

We are in search of a current college student who is interested in exploring a career in the financial services industry. The Underwriting Analyst Intern will work in our Spokane, Washington (Headquarters) location and will gain a realistic job preview and insights into the career opportunities and potential that exists at AgWest, primarily in the areas of credit underwriting, model risk management, and data analytics. The selected intern will be assigned a designated coach, an individual research project, and a formal learning guide, exposing them to a variety of positions and areas of our business. This summer internship is full-time and will last for 10-12 weeks from approximately June through August. 

Compensation Information

$22.00 - 25.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, economics, math, business, or related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to research complex topics and design analysis methodologies
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using data analysis tools and computer programming such as R/RStudio, Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, or other data analysis tools
