Role Summary:

The Ground Maintenance Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the maintenance, management and tracking of all Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Building Maintenance. This includes performing in-house repairs, utilizing a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, train, and oversee a team
  • Assign maintenance tasks, track performance and budgets, and ensure efficient workflow
  • Oversee preventive and service maintenance of GSE and buildings
  • Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Monitor maintenance costs and work within budget constraints while optimizing operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Provide technical support and training

Must haves:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Red Seal Journeyperson mechanic or millwright or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certified technician
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial aviation, ground support equipment operation or medium to large fleet/equipment maintenance
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of ground support equipment and building maintenance
  • Have experience in development and management of large budgets and project management
  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada
