Overview
The Director, Process Engineering will play a critical role in driving financial performance by designing, configuring, and optimizing logistical and operational processes across the business. This role is especially important in our current state, where foundational process maturity is low and many workflows remain undocumented and/or manual. The initial focus will be on high-impact areas such as customer billing, service partner costing, procurement, pricing, and customer profitability analyses.
This role will work cross-functionally with Operations, Analytics, Product, and Revenue teams to streamline workflows, implement automation, and improve transparency across our homegrown Transportation Management System (TMS) and related platforms. The process engineer will lead efforts to map current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable, future-state solutions that align operational execution with strategic financial goals.
A core responsibility includes identifying inefficient, redundant, and/or manual workflows; will include building a roadmap from manual to scalable, and ultimately to fully automated, solutions. Interim solutions may involve the strategic use of outsourced labor to manage costs where automation is not yet feasible.

- Develop detailed process maps and system workflows to support both standard and customized solutions tailored to evolving customer and business needs
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Executive Leadership to configure and deploy TMS enhancements that improve data flow, support growth, and enable long-term scalability
- Identify manual or low-value processes and build structured automation roadmaps aligned with R&D priorities
Testing & Implementation
- Lead development of test plans and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system enhancements prior to deployment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to identify & resolve configuration issues
- Support go-live efforts for new features, process rollouts, and customer onboarding, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption
Training & Super User Support
- Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and documentation to support user adoption; partner with the Chief of Staff for Operations on major rollouts as needed
- Deliver hands-on training and coaching for super users, emphasizing best practices and system optimization
- Act as a primary support contact for super users, resolving issues and providing ongoing guidance to ensure effective system utilization
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, eliminate manual tasks, and streamline workflows across functional teams
- Monitor KPIs, perform root cause analyses, and implement data-driven solutions to improve process performance
- Advocate for automation and scalable best practices that reduce cost, increase throughput, and align with financial objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
