Senior Social Media Manager

Remote - US

We’re seeking a creative and analytical Senior Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of our social media strategy across all major platforms. This role combines high-level strategy with hands-on content creation and community management. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a skilled executor who can drive engagement, brand awareness, and conversion through social campaigns.

You’ll sit at the intersection of marketing, brand, and product storytelling. You will lead social content strategy for launches, generate excitement around our innovation, especially in AI, and push creative boundaries to position Airtable as a category-defining platform. This role is both high-level and hands-on, and best suited to someone who loves both shaping strategy and crafting standout content.

What you'll do

Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand objectives, marketing campaigns, and business goals.

  • Identify KPIs and success metrics for social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, etc.).
  • Stay on top of social media trends to identify emerging platforms and engagement strategies 
  • Stay on the cutting edge of AI and tech trends to infuse our social strategy with timely, differentiated insights and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative teams, and agencies to develop cohesive, channel-optimized narratives.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to inform content themes, trends, and platform priorities.

Execution & Management:

Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content (copy, images, videos, stories, reels) across social channels.

  • Own the social content calendar and ensure timely, relevant, and brand-consistent posts.
  • Engage actively with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and moderate conversations to build community and brand trust.
  • Partner with influencers, creators, and brand advocates to amplify reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with performance marketing for paid social campaigns to support traffic and conversion goals. 

Analytics & Optimization:

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics and KPIs weekly and monthly.
  • Use data insights to inform ongoing content optimization and strategy refinement.
  • A/B test content formats, posting times, and engagement tactics to improve performance.

Who you are

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in social media marketing, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven experience in both strategy development and hands-on execution.
  • Strong copywriting, visual storytelling, and content production skills.
  • Proficient in social media tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Familiarity with social analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Insights).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Midjourney, Sora, Descript, etc.) and excited about leveraging them for content and workflow innovation.
  • Bonus: Experience with influencer marketing and/or paid social advertising.

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills and experience.

For all work locations including remote, the hourly rate for this role is:

$125 - $150 USD
