The role:
With numerous projects in construction phase, this position is a client side role and will focus on Akaysha's Brendale BESS Project (205/410MWh). As a Site Manager you will oversee the interface between the principal contractor and the OEM supplier; facilitating effective communication to ensure seamless execution of the construction project. You'll be joining a dedicated team of supportive and experienced individuals, in position that offers true flexibility and the opportunity to effect change.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring on-site activities align with Akaysha Energy’s strategic goals and project objectives.
- Support the Construction Manager and Project Managers by providing accurate, real-time data on project status, to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Acts as a central point of contact on-site, bridging communication gaps between the principal contractor, OEM supplier, and Akaysha Energy’s project team.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on project progress and challenges.
- Implement Akaysha Energy’s quality assurance and safety protocols on-site, ensuring that both the principal contractor and OEM supplier adhere to these standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits, reporting findings to the Construction Manager and Project Managers, and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Ensure Compliance with Project Management Plans and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Provide on-site support to Project Managers, assisting with the coordination of activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensure that project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Enhance the capacity of Project Managers by taking on specific on-site responsibilities, allowing them to focus on higher-level project management tasks.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the construction and equipment integration processes.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement risk management plans, ensuring that potential issues are addressed before they impact the project.
What you'll bring:
- Previous Site Management experience
- Electrical background
- Civil experience
- Highly motivated
- Negotiation skills, a background in Renewables, and/or HV Experience will be highly regarded.
