Team Overview

Aksia's Information Technology team is made up of 29 global members focused on operational infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity, partnering closely with all business units to bridge business strategy and technical capability.

Position Overview

Aksia is seeking a Vice President to join the IT team in Athens. This role will work across the organization to identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence systems to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance productivity. The position requires both technical and strategic thinking to design and implement practical AI solutions that support teams across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-impact opportunities for AI-driven process improvements across research, operations, sales, marketing, and finance teams
• Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to understand problems, design AI-driven solutions, and oversee implementation
• Design, deploy, and manage AI-powered agents and automation
• Prototype and build working AI solutions using commercial and open-source technologies
• Act as an internal AI specialist, educating teams on practical ways to leverage AI in their daily work
• Continuously evaluate the evolving AI landscape and recommend tools, frameworks, and strategies that create business value

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, technical consulting, or implementation roles
• Practical experience using commercial AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) including building agents and automations using respective API’s
• Practical knowledge of open-source AI toolsets and frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, MCP Server etc.
• Engineering background with experience writing and managing code (Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages) using common enterprise tools and practices
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to take an initial idea, explore it across teams, and develop a practical implementation plan
