Senior Accountant
Position Overview
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior General Ledger Accountant’s primary job responsibilities will include:
- Prepare recurring and standard non-recurring journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
- Prepare reconciliations for assigned areas within the parent company and subsidiaries in a timely manner as part of the month-end close process.
- Prepare and review inventory reserve analysis and warranty reserves quarterly and maintain well-documented accounting memos.
- Travel to inventory warehouse semi-annually for physical inventory counts and to meet with stakeholders.
- Perform quarterly financial statement flux analysis.
- Assist with quarterly preparation of board deck and audit committee presentation.
- Assist with internal & external audits including preparation of necessary work papers and documentation.
- Support cross-functional business partners including but not limited to HR, Legal, Marketing, Supply chain, FP&A, Technical Accounting, AP, Tax, Payroll, etc.
- Support and adhere to strong internal control policies and procedures.
- Support the streamlining of accounting systems via process improvement and automation.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and manage time efficiently.
- Perform other related accounting duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
- BA/BS in accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Previous work experience in a public software/hardware company environment, subject to SOX preferred
- Should be well-versed in GAAP accounting
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with reporting deadlines and demonstrated ability to support closes on a regular schedule.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
