About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant adept at problem-solving, building and streamlining processes, and developing accounting best practices in a high-growth environment. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will have primary ownership of digital asset accounting while also contributing to other key areas of the accounting function. You’ll help ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, support timely and accurate financial reporting, and play a critical role in scaling our processes as the company grows.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, prepare, and manage accounting process for digital asset transactions, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment under ASC 350-30 and ASC 820 for digital asset holdings and related transactions.
  • Perform reconciliations of digital asset wallets, sub-ledgers, and related accounts.
  • Operate as an accounting subject matter expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Treasurer and Product) to ensure accounting processes align with evolving business models and controls.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant systems to independently research and resolve issues.
  • Serve as a key resource for FP&A and Controllership to deliver relevant, timely, and accurate financial data and metrics to enable operational efficiency.
  • Support audit requests and collaborate with external auditors on matters related to digital assets.
  • Provide support for special projects, system implementations, and process automation efforts.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred, with at least 4 years in Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with demonstrated experience in ASC 606, 820, and some familiarity with other technical accounting pronouncements such as ASC 350-60.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in SaaS and/or Web3, specifically with blockchain protocol and developer revenue streams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to distill complex financial information, perform detailed analysis, and develop revenue forecasting models.
  • Process Improvement: Proven experience in developing and managing internal controls and optimizing financial processes.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Resourceful, agile self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
