Senior Director, Product Marketing

Alma is seeking a Senior Director of Product Marketing to join our passionate and outcomes-driven marketing team, reporting to the SVP of Marketing.

In this role, you’ll own the go-to-market strategy across Alma’s full product portfolio, shaping the long-term vision for how we position, launch, and grow our offerings in the market. You will be a strategic leader who drives transformative change—balancing forward-looking market strategies with operational execution to achieve both immediate wins and sustained growth. Your influence will extend beyond marketing, shaping outcomes across product, sales, operations, and customer success, while inspiring a culture of excellence and high performance.

You’ll lead and mentor a high-performing product marketing team, define the company’s market research priorities, evolve Alma’s product narratives, and design scalable content strategies that deepen our market penetration and reinforce our position as an indispensable partner for mental health providers. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and market impact—and are ready to shape the future of mental healthcare—this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Define the vision and direction of product marketing across the full product portfolio, ensuring alignment with long-term growth objectives, market expansion goals, and company strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the product marketing team, fostering a culture of impact, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Help scale a high-performing product marketing function — including overseeing a dedicated product marketing researcher to ensure insights and programs directly inform innovation, product roadmaps, and strategic planning.
  • Be accountable for the company’s market research strategy—supporting the development of frameworks and programs that ensure insights consistently inform innovation, product roadmaps, and strategic planning.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with leaders across Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, and CX to champion GTM excellence and create a seamless, best-in-class customer experience.
  • Measure and optimize impact using performance data and financial insights to guide decisions, allocate resources effectively, and demonstrate Product Marketing’s contribution to business growth.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, adapting strategies in response to shifting market conditions, competitive pressures, and emerging opportunities.
  • Own and lead high-impact strategic initiatives that align with key company objectives, leveraging Product Marketing’s unique position to drive cross-functional success.

Who you are:

  • You are a seasoned product marketing leader with 10+ years in product marketing and 6+ years in a leadership role. Experience in healthcare, membership-based businesses, or marketplace contexts is preferred but not required.
  • You have experience in Product Led Growth (PLG) businesses and/or transitioning business and teams from Sales Led Growth (SLG) to PLG, managing multi-product portfolios, and evolving pricing and packaging strategies.
  • You are a strategic visionary and operational executor—defining multi-year strategies while ensuring tactical excellence and measurable outcomes.
  • You are an exceptional storyteller and cross-functional influencer, distilling complex ideas into compelling narratives that inspire and align teams.
  • You are a data-driven decision-maker who leverages market insights, performance metrics, and financial data to guide strategy and prove ROI.
  • You have experience developing and implementing AI-driven strategies to enhance go-to-market approaches, content creation, and customer insights.
  • You are a builder of teams and culture, known for developing talent, fostering resilience, and scaling high-impact marketing organizations.
  • You are highly accountable and growth-minded, embracing change with resilience, adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment, and continuously seeking ways to improve yourself, your team, and business outcomes.
