Superhuman is building the most desired pre-workout energy brand, creating seriously fun products that actually work. We're looking for a creative storyteller and strategic thinker to lead our product marketing.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Direct Response Copywriter to play a pivotal role in driving business growth by enhancing performance marketing creative, developing high-converting offers, and building AI-powered copy systems. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, data-driven copy that not only improves key performance metrics but also helps optimize customer acquisition strategies.
Beyond writing high-impact copy, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement AI-driven solutions that streamline creative production, increase efficiency, and maintain a high standard of quality. Your work will be essential in driving revenue growth and improving contribution margins by developing scalable copy frameworks that deliver measurable performance improvements. By combining creative expertise with AI technology, you will help establish a sustainable competitive advantage in our overall marketing and creative strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Creative Excellence
- Develop compelling video scripts with strong hooks, engaging narratives, and clear CTAs.
- Craft persuasive ad copy and image ad headlines that drive engagement and conversions.
- Ensure all copy effectively communicates benefits while complying with regulatory guidelines.
- Implement A/B testing frameworks to identify and refine high-performing creative elements.
- Work closely with creative strategists to align copy with visual storytelling.
- Develop copy variants tailored to different customer segments and levels of awareness.
- Maintain a balance between brand voice and performance-driven messaging.
- Landing Page Optimization
- Design and test innovative offer structures to maximize funnel performance.
- Write persuasive landing page copy that aligns with ad messaging for a seamless user journey.
- Develop compelling value propositions and product descriptions, especially for supplements.
- Craft upsell and cross-sell copy to increase the Average Order Value (AOV).
- Conduct systematic testing of headlines, body copy, and CTA elements to improve conversion rates.
- Build copy frameworks for various landing page types (VSLs, long-form pages, product pages, pre-sells, etc.).
- Address customer objections through persuasive messaging that builds trust and credibility.
- Customer & Market Research
- Conduct deep research into customer pain points, desires, and buying behaviors.
- Analyze customer reviews, testimonials, and feedback to identify effective messaging angles.
- Research competitor offers and positioning to find differentiation opportunities.
- Stay updated on supplement industry trends, regulations, and direct response strategies.
- Develop customer personas and create targeted messaging frameworks for different audience segments.
- Extract insights from winning creatives across industries and apply proven direct response techniques.
- Build systematic research processes to fuel copy and offer development.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Continuously analyze copy performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop and implement testing methodologies to improve creative effectiveness.
- Identify patterns in high-performing copy and scale successful approaches.
- Create structured frameworks for rapidly implementing and iterating on successful copy.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to ensure a cutting-edge marketing approach.
- AI Systems Development
- Build and implement AI-powered copy systems to increase output, efficiency, and quality.
- Develop AI-driven templates for video scripts, landing pages, and ad copy.
- Utilize AI to analyze and replicate successful copy patterns.
- Implement AI-powered workflows for personalized copy at scale.
- Continuously test and refine AI-enhanced copywriting tools and systems.
- Stay up to date on AI advancements in copywriting and integrate relevant innovations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience writing high-converting ad copy for video and image-based creatives.
- Expertise in developing conversion-driven landing page copy that improves CvR and AOV.
- Strong understanding of direct response marketing principles and consumer psychology.
- Experience conducting A/B testing and analyzing performance data to optimize copy.
- Familiarity with AI-powered copy systems and automation tools.
- Knowledge of the supplement industry or DTC brands is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with designers, strategists, and marketing teams.
- Strong research skills to analyze customer insights, competitor strategies, and industry trends.
