About the Team:
The Content organization is responsible for identifying, creating, licensing, and integrating best-in-class unstructured and structured data that is both self-sourced and from third party content providers. The Content teams report to the Chief Content Officer and have strategy, product management, content operations, and support responsibilities for each Content vertical. We have been experiencing a rapid growth cycle across all content sets, including the Broker Research team. About the Role:
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Product Manager – Broker & Independent Research to transform the broker content and data function. The team has built scalable processes to integrate with third party content and data providers. We need to augment that strength by hiring a candidate who can bring a product mindset to search and tagging, to ensure that clients and internal functions can discover and leverage broker content within their workflows.
This candidate must also possess a strong understanding of the real-time research business model and its client workflows. They must be equally adept in their understanding of the aftermarket research business and its clients. Ideally, this person will also understand and have worked with various brokers and independent research providers and be capable of articulating a vision for research on AlphaSense to deliver a research experience that delights.
Who You Are:
- 7-10 years experience in financial services with a specific focus on broker, ratings, or market research.
- A strong understanding of how real-time and embargoed research clients search for broker research. An equally strong understanding of the technical solutions to solving these use-cases.
- Expert knowledge of content feeds, research metadata (RIXML), assorted document delivery types, linkbacks, and broker entitlements.
- A track record of owning projects, setting priorities, staying focused, and meeting deadlines.
- A track record of delivering content from initial engagement to release.
- Solid existing relationships with numerous broker research departments and key decision makers.
- Effective communication skills working with brokers and 3rd party content aggregators.
- Significant content delivery experience using iterative / agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and outstanding attention to detail.
- Solid Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Google Sheets/Google Docs/Google Slides experience.
- B2B SaaS and/or enterprise software application company experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain strong new and ongoing broker and independent research relationships with key decision makers, product and technology teams at individual broker, and independent research firms.
- Take ownership of the full life cycle of research integration and any internally facing broker research content or data initiatives, from definition to diligence to implementation, testing, delivery, feedback, and on-going enhancements.
- Ensure that clients and internal functions can easily discover and consume broker content and data.
- Analyze other relevant competing products in the market and interact with customers to understand their workflows and pain points and gather and document actionable feedback.
- Create and manage a project roadmap by working with development teams to understand and optimize costs, benefits, and timelines for all aspects of implementation.
- Applying agile development methodology and working iteratively with engineers and various stakeholders to define scope and deliver features and improvements rapidly, while iterating to make improvements.
- Creating specifications and communicating detailed requirements and user stories to the engineering teams and working in constant collaboration to ensure on-time delivery.
- Contributing to the successful launch of content into the market, including the creation of announcements, marketing collateral, documentation, user training, and internal training.
- Track industry trends and deliver competitive intelligence to better evolve product vision.
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Compensation Range
$147,000 - $185,000 USD
