We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design technical solutions in the pneumatic team, supporting engineering activities and ensuring the integration of high-quality deliverables. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing input for product roadmaps and contributing to business development and innovation. As a senior-level professional, you will also mentor junior engineers and play an active role in growing technical knowledge within the organization.
Responsibilities -
- Design technical solutions based on given prerequisites such as function, style, volume, geometry, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support mechanical design engineering activities within the pneumatic team with an emphasis on chassis, suspension, brakes, and vehicle dynamics.
- Ensure the quality and readiness of integrated deliveries before release.
- Provide input on product and system roadmaps for future development.
- Act as a role model in lifelong learning, mentoring junior team members and peers.
Qualifications -
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience using CREO for complex designs.
- Familiarity with FEA principals.
- Prior experience in automotive routing and packaging, and Design & Release activities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design principles, including function, style, geometry, and quality targets.
- Proven ability to integrate multiple technical deliverables and ensure readiness before release.
- Experience providing input to product and system roadmaps.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills within cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions in mechanical design.
- Advanced technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, with a focus on problem-solving and innovation.
- Ability to work confidently and influence within a broader organizational network.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical and business contributions.
- A commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
