Vehicle Synthesis & Validation (VSV) Process Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- The VSV Process Lead is responsible for properly developing, documenting & maintaining/updating process & new test procedures pertaining to high level customer functional requirements as well as releasing into the corporate systems as appropriate to enhance coverage for Vehicle Programs in the areas of Body/Interior, Chassis/Engine Systems, Electrical & Electric vehicle on a timely manner.
- The responsibilities also include developing master DVP's for Vehicle Synthesis & Validation (VSV) team. Additionally, the successful candidate is responsible for working with other team members with the VSV team to take input and lessons learned feedback from various vehicle programs and incorporate that into the existing test procedures and processes to revise & update as needed.
- The successful candidate needs to work with extended engineering teams including global teams for alignment of test procedures with the global standards. This position requires presentation to the Engineering Leadership team on status & updates.
- This position requires the successful candidate to be working with VSV team members in the vehicle in person at CTC Headquarters, MI to develop/maintain best practices & test procedure for CFO Validation.
- This role requires a strong blend of creative thinking, customer-centric mindset, capable of training others and implementing processes in place by understanding existing Engineering processes.
- This position will also require special projects/assignments including helping the VSV team with target setting of high-level Customer Functional Objective requirements & physical validation of CFO at the vehicle. Might also require trips to Plant facilities & Validation trips within US.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum 5-8 years of automotive work experience required
- Excellent English Verbal & Written communication skills
- Must have excellent Organization skills
- Works well in a team environment with limited supervision, self-starter and results driven
- Ability to work 100% in person
Preferred Requirements:
- 8+ years of automotive experience in Vehicle Development/Validation or Design engineering
- Working understanding of DVP&R and DFMEA
- Expertise in reactive problem solving (Shainin/Red X)
- Technical Writing & process oriented
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
