
Test Engineer (Medical Devices)

About the Role:
As part of the Imaging Fleet Solutions verification team, the Test Engineer will perform assigned testing to verify the MR/CT compatibility with the IDEA product and other test setups in Bay and Labs. The Test Engineer works closely with client engineering teams to create test plans, write test-cases and execute test procedures, provide regular updates on test progress and create and release appropriate test reports and clear, succinct documentation. Position requires prior working knowledge with MRI or CT systems, co-ordination with multiple teams, exposure to hardware setups and troubleshooting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete assigned test execution on quality and on time.
- Adhere to related GEHC and ALTEN policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by ALTEN and GEHC management.
Education/Experience
- A biomedical engineering, physics or science bachelors degree or equivalent testing experience in medical device functional imaging industry.
- At least 3 years of experience testing MRI, PET, CT, or X-Ray scanner hardware functionality.
- Requires the medical clearance to work in an MRI, PET, X-Ray environment.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Demonstrated proficiency using test equipment and tools.
- Exposure to setting up and troubleshooting external accessories with CT/MRI systems.
- Demonstrated experience in working with Linux/SUSE systems.
- Demonstrated experience in working with GEHC MRI team.
- Demonstrated experience in performing the LFCs for GEHC CT/MRI systems.
- High work ethic and integrity.
- Communicate clearly in English (both oral and written).
- Adherence to process discipline, good documentation practices and quality requirements.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and confidence to work with little supervision.
- Global technical business experience working within a diverse workforce.
- Clear understanding and adherence to related functionality and safety procedures.
Location: On-site in Waukesha, WI (2nd or 3rd shift)
Salary Range: $75K-$110K
