
Senior BIW Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take over and lead an ongoing Body-In-White (BIW) project, which involves the integration of approximately 48 robots and various equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the continuation of this large-scale project, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role also requires significant travel, including extended stays in international locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take over the existing BIW project and ensure its smooth continuation and successful completion.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, purchasing, and logistics, to maintain momentum and address any emerging issues.
- Review and adjust the project timeline, milestones, and budget as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Identify new risks and continue to manage identified risks throughout the remainder of the project lifecycle.
- Maintain clear and continuous communication among stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and progress.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes to address any challenges that arise.
- Evaluate and report on project performance, including KPIs and financial metrics.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel to Dublin, Virginia, for an extended period of approximately 3 months.
- Availability to travel to China and Mexico for periods ranging from 2 to 6 weeks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A master's degree or PMP certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries with a focus on robotics.
- Strong understanding of Body-In-White processes and robotic systems.
- Prior experience taking over and successfully managing ongoing projects preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
