Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced supply chain professional to support manufacturing operations by leading supplier-related issue resolution and mitigating supply chain disruptions. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure continuity of production. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in supplier performance, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination and resolution of supplier-related production disruptions to minimize operational impact.
- Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective recovery plans.
- Conduct detailed root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions for supply chain issues.
- Identify potential supplier risks through ongoing monitoring and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication with internal stakeholders during critical supply chain events.
- Utilize Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to strengthen supplier performance and operational efficiency.
- Support the development of standardized processes, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain organization.
- Act as a subject matter resource for supplier performance and supply chain risk management across operational teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (3-5) years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing supplier escalations, production recovery efforts, and supply chain risk.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a high level of professional integrity.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional short-notice travel to supplier locations.
Salary Range: $75,000-80,000
