Role Summary

The Growth Marketing Manager is responsible for building and scaling ALX Nigeria’s learner acquisition engine, driving demand, conversion, and revenue. Specific Responsibilities

  • Own Growth Strategy & Revenue: Design and execute the learner acquisition strategy to drive enrolments, payments, and revenue growth.

  • Lead Campaigns & Channel Expansion: Execute and optimise multi-channel campaigns (paid, organic, CRM, partnerships) focused on measurable outcomes.
  • Drive Community & Partnership Growth: Leverage community, referrals, and partnerships to scale acquisition and reduce cost per learner.
  • Run Growth Experiments: Test, measure, and scale new ideas across channels, messaging, and acquisition strategies.
  • Generate Insights & Improve Performance: Track key metrics, analyse performance, and continuously refine growth strategy.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Execution: Align marketing, recruitment, community, and partnerships to operate as a unified growth system.

Skill Requirements - Essential

  • 10-12 years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or related roles
  • Experience building and leading high-performing growth teams or agency ecosystems
  • Proven track record of driving revenue through marketing and acquisition strategies
  • Strong experience working within or leading marketing agencies (multi-campaign, performance-driven environments)
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret data to drive decisions
  • Experience designing and executing multi-channel growth strategies (paid, organic, partnerships, community-led)
  • Strong copywriting and messaging skills, with the ability to translate value propositions into high-converting campaigns
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales/recruitment teams to improve conversion and pipeline performance
  • Proficiency with data and reporting tools (Excel/Google Sheets, dashboards, GA4, Looker or similar BI tools)
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour in emerging markets, particularly in Nigeria or similar contexts
  • Experience leading creative and content teams to execute campaigns at scale
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with strong ownership and accountability
  • Hands-on experience building and managing end-to-end acquisition funnels (awareness → conversion → activation → revenue)
  • Demonstrated ability to enter and scale new markets, cities, or audience segments, including go-to-market execution and localisation

Skill Requirements - Preferable

  • Strong experience with CRM systems and lifecycle marketing (email, WhatsApp, SMS, automation, segmentation)
  • Familiarity with growth automation and AI-driven marketing systems
  • Strong experimentation mindset, including A/B testing, hypothesis design, and continuous optimisation

Person Specification/Attributes
