About the Role

ALX brings you this opportunity for an ALX Alumni Relationship Fellow.

We are looking to foster stronger relationships with our community of ALX graduates and are hiring an online Relationship Manager for this. 

As an Alumni Relationship Fellow, you will play a crucial role in cultivating strong relationships with your portfolio of community members and leveraging your knowledge of these individuals to drive value in the community, Your responsibilities will include building relationships, collecting and capturing data to uncover missing information and skills, learning about our talents’ career aspirations and growing their engagement with ALX. This role is a unique blend of analytical thinking, business acumen, and interpersonal skills, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making meaningful connections. 

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with alumni talent to understand their career aspirations, unique skills, professional goals, and areas of interest.
  • Data Mapping: Collect, organize, and maintain alumni talent data to generate valuable insights and support meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Strategic Outreach: Proactively engage alumni talent to learn more about their aspirations, strengthen their connection to the community, and communicate opportunities for them to participate, contribute, and gain value from the alumni network.
  • Event Planning & Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni-focused events, including networking sessions, professional development opportunities, community gatherings, and other engagement activities that strengthen alumni connections and participation.
  • Data Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of alumni profiles, engagement activities, and interactions, ensuring the integrity and reliability of data within the talent pool.
  • Talent Data Analysis: Analyze alumni data, career aspirations, skills, and engagement patterns to identify trends and insights that can inform programming, talent opportunities, partnerships, and broader organizational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential for engaging with talent effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess talent interest, skills and aspirations.
  • Empathetic and adaptable, able to understand the needs of the talent .
  • A proactive and self motivated attitude with a desire to contribute to the business strategy in seeking out opportunities.
  • Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to ensure a great experience for our talent.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve success.
  • Networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with talent.

This role requires the successful candidate to be based in Kigali, Rwanda. The role will offer compensation and allowances for data & communication.
